Unearthing Roots
Every step of the past affects the future. Thus, the lives of our ancestors affect our lives. But what if you never got to know these ancestors? I researched what has been preserved and what connects my grandmother and me. By collecting archive footage, objects from the past and looking for places we both went, puzzle pieces fell into place. But some of those pieces can never be found.
